Best sight in the world after a month in ND. Marias pass Mt.
The historic point is where Lewis and Clark camped in the middle of the night a member of the group shot one of the Blackfoot Indians stealing and they where turned away from the pass and had to find a southern pass.

My Dad flew 25 missions over Europe before being shot down over France. All of his missions were before drop tanks were developed on the fighters. He said they sure liked having their "little buddies" along for cover, but when the fighters had to turn back, he would get an empty feeling in his stomach....they were at the mercy of the mighty Lufwaffe then.
