Rare Quarter Found

[Glenn (Orlando FL)]

Do you see anything special about this quarter? I do....do you??

Found by a friend of mine a few days ago here in Central, FL at a construction site.
He didn't know what he had, but thanks to me he does now!

It is a type 2 with stars under eagle. I took the pic and was so excited about the date I completely forgot about the reverse.

LOL

Report is the same as Banner report

This can't qualify though.

his friend is not & was not
a Member when he found it.

& even if he was, his friend
needed to be the first to post it,
and there would have had to be much
more detail

I sure hope your conserving and slabbing by NGC goes better than mine did. They conserved it - one of only 3000 minted - and put it in the slab machine and broke it in two pieces. $4000 now worth zippo.

Make sure he insures it for at least what the coin sold for on Ebay. There will still be a fight over what this coin is worth if they damage it but PAY THE INSURANCE!!

Lightning can strike twice.

Yeah, we saw that auction. I think our quarter should grade at VF-30.
