Real gold fake silver (ring on the way home)

[Dirt Fishin Dale]

I found these two while getting blasted by the wind and waves this weekend. The gold is real and the silver is a fake. I am working on returning the ring. Being it’s a 2008, it looks like he didn’t wear it long. It fits me good but I don’t think I can fool anyone in to believing I’m in high school.

Kirkpa:
The wilver looks like a copy to me. And I noticed you might need these. Found them on the beach also.

That silver does look a little too shiny to be genuine. Still a cool find in my book.

A seasoned detectorist like you, asking a question like that

Good luck on finding the owner

Just an update. Received this email today.

Dale,

I've sent you via regular mail a self addressed, pre-paid Fed Ex envelope for you to use to send the Ring to us. I've also included a check for $75 as away of saying thank you very much. We ( excpecially our Son, James) really appreciate you contacting us and returning it to us.

Do you remember about where you found it, I would love to know how far something like that travels in the surf, on a beach. James lost it near the Holiday Inn / Ocean Landings about 1.5 miles south of the Cocoa Beach pier.

Sounds like dad has some intrest in treasure currents.

Dale
