They have these things now, they are called "planes, trains, and automobiles." What you do is ride them to places where you can detect. It is really hard to do sometimes, as you have to spend all that clad you found over the spring, summer and fall on a ticket, or gas and a place to stay, but it is a good trade off in the end.

There are still parking lots that are cleared of snow. Detect around where they push the snow. Also check fences for pushed bills.
