Hey hey diggers!
I figured I should post some finds from the past year and share with the community here. I got in fewer swings this year but made some wonderful finds just the same.
As usual lots of copper coins and even some silvers too ! My favourite finds are old tokens and there were a few. I found some neat foreign coins including some from France, UK, Brazil, and USA.
My top silver coin find was the 1826 shilling of George lV...a first for me!
My favourite copper coin was the 4 doubles of Guernsey...another first!

Moving on to relics...very few military finds this year but the Duke of Connaught badge from WW l was the clear winner.

Fun relics included barrel taps and a key for one...some amazing railway relics and POD button...yep another first!
I absolutely love finding railroad stuff..these made my year!
As time moves on...its timepiece time...a few winding keys and a silver bezel from a pocket watch but most importantly the broken fob seal!
Originally when I found it I thought it was silver( its unmarked btw) but I now feel it could be gold...fingers crossed!
W I L had a bad day when it broke free...I had a great day when I dug it up!
Probably my best find this year!
But not all finds are made with a detector, my best eyeball finds included marbles, beads, and this lovely pork pie style ink well...unusual size..I love it

I sincerely hope you all had as great a year as I did out exploring and having adventures in your own part of the world and that 2026 brings us all much more!

What a wonderful collection of finds, especially for just one year. For me, that many would represent many years of detecting. You must have found colonial places where lots of coins were used, and lost. Most of them are in unusually good condition. Congratulations and thanks for posting. I really enjoyed seeing them because these old coins are my favourite finds and I don't get out much any more.
