So EXCITING seeing this thing just laying there uncovered after so many years under ground. Found after a couple good hard rains. Enjoy. Anyhelp with dating/type of the big one would be appreciated thanks. HH

I,m no expert, just a country boy who likes picking up rocks but for what it is worth,I would say an Adena.Where are you located,Ohio,Kentucky, maybe? The material looks like carter cave ,whatever it is pretty.

Thanks for the replies. Hey Jeff, located in west central Florida.

Looks like a Pickwick or a Putnam. If its a Pickwick, its Middle to Late Archaic..... 6000 - 3500 B.P. If its a Putnam, its Middle Archaic.... 6500 - 3000 B.P.

Afternoon,

Looks also something like a newnan or marion....7-3,000 bp

I agree that it looks like a Marion. Also looks like it could be coral?

Looks like a Newnan.

Molly. :)

Nice find Johnnyreb! I really like Florida points - especially those made of coral. The colors are incredible!
