I knocked on the door of a 1772 house recently...got the go-ahead. the builder of this house back in the day was a prominent town figure,,his children were supposedly captured, tortured, and killed by indians!

I have detected here 3 times over the past few weeks. I'm still searching for older coinage, but I have pulled around 15 wheats, an 1883 IH, and some other goodies. Soil is really soft and sandy so i think the good stuff is sinking deep...i was finding memorials and wheats at around 7 inches.

I did manage to find a 1946 rosie and this cool spork (?). thought it was commemorative at first but after some investigation it turns out it came from The Commodore Hotel in NYC, built in 1919, now known as the Grand Hyatt.

The homeowner recently divulged some new info where the old wagon raod used to be so I'll have to check that out tomorrow.

Happy Hunting!
