Recent finds.

It's been awhile since I have found any bottles worth posting. The dump where I do most of my digging is a neighborhood dump on a slope along a river. The neighborhood dates from the 1860's but the vast majority of bottles are from the 1890's through the 1920's. It's a big dump, maybe 200 hundred yards long, and there is plenty of glass in the river too. The section I've been digging this year is full of bricks. It's a pain to dig through a couple of feet of overburden and then another foot or so of bricks before hitting an ash layer. Anyways, the last month has been a lot better than the months before.

It's a quiet little spot with hardly any foot traffic. No one else has dug there the five years that I've been digging there. It's not an easy place to dig either.
