Recent WV Finds 7/1/10

The first of July treated me well today with some West Virginia finds in my old faithful spot. All the points were whole which is a small miracle of sorts. I found six small polished pieces of hematite all in a 3 yard radius. Also picked up a broken greenstone tool of some kind with pecking and polished areas. Any guesses what it may have been?

I got some videos of the insitus and finds too.

Great finds 37. Really liked seeing them. One stupid question though. Is hematite magnetic? That green stone piece reminds me of a prehistoric swiss army knife. Minus a blade.

Thanks jaron, I checked and hematite isn't magnetic, not a bad question though. I can see that swiss army connection, one of the bigguns with like 40 tools.

Congratulations on the new born Bill!! A priority changer for sure, get used to new sleeping hours, lol. I recently became an uncle and kind of feel sorry for my bro because he's turned into a one armed insomniac, naw it's not that bad. Anyway that offer stands, whenever we can agree on a place and time in the near future.

Nice finds 37. Crickastro im tellin ya ive almost filled a shoebox ith brokes the few times ive gone but the wholes ive found have been nice...
