I don't think it has anything to do with the American Red Cross, or the international Red Cross. However the Girl Scouts had a badge
they could earn for first aid that had a red Maltese cross, and there was also a WWI Maltese cross like that was used by wounded soldiers
as a fund raiser or some sort.

Bigfoot got in before me, and I think he found your answer.

as I search into P.Lorillard's buisness practices I find he was unusually active in the manufacture of promo products for his many tobacco brands. You name it and he made it for advertising...lol.I havent found that particular button cover(?)yet so anything is possible.

cheers

Thomson & Taylor Spice Co. also used this name/cross combination, and at about the same time, oddly. They made a variety of food products, perhaps most notably condensed milk.
Hmm... They also sold lye (for cleaning), and I wonder if this might actually be a bottle cap? Edit- their lye was granulated, so probably in a box. They sold extracts in bottles, although as of yet I only see corks on them.

Thanks, I'm still digging in the internet. I first looked at Red Cross stoves and ranges but didn't see a matching logo on the stove.
