Red Cross Pin Question

I need help from anyone that is familiar with American Red Cross pins. I bought this at a local thrift store. I shined it up a bit and found the letter "f"on the back of the pin. I can't find anything that says what the letter stands for. Any ideas?

That pin is for the production branch of the red cross from 1923 to 1946 (so most likely WWII era issued), it was the largest branch and is the most commonly found pin, the f is most likely the manufacturer of the pin.
