Taking a bath! Probably getting rid of some of those mites?

Yeah maybe so. In all the close contact with all the birds they kill they probably do pickup fair amount parasites.

Good shot Chris. I saw a peregrine falcon same day I saw this Cooper glide by overhead when I was out enjoying this walk along the creek. What birds of prey I've photo so far around here are Red Tails, Kestrals, Burrowing Owls, Great Horned Owls, Cooper Hawks, Bald Eagles and Ospreys and maybe a few I can't think of right now. It seems all this new development around has maybe improved their numbers. Seeing the Peregrine recently I'll now need to look for it at the erea I saw it and hopefully get a shot.
