Red Magnet

Anybody recognize this red painted magnet? The handle is steel. I believe its 40's-60's era and possibly from a childs toy set such as an erector set. Its a pretty strong magnet. No markings. Anybody recognize it?

Im dont know if they ever put them in a toy set but my local hardware sells them .
If you type [handle magnet] in google images you will find them.

I don't think the style and color has changed on these magnets for many, many years so it would be hard to date yours. It's the old theory, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

Without markings, might be hard to date. And yes, they still make them today.

HM-100 in this picture looks identical to yours, thin steel handle, shape, right down to the double magnets and length.

Looks like a match. It may not be as old as I thought.
