RELIC HUNT YIELDS 1825 CAPPED LARGE CENT & CANNON BALL

Hi everyone,

Had a nice hunt this past weekend with Sentinel with some really cool results. Found the usual mini's and iron but this time actually dug a 12 pound CW cannon ball. It was a 2 man effort this one. It was at least 18 inches deep. More then likely will be one of my most memorable finds. Also dug a 1825 Capped Large Cent. Really in pretty good condition. The 1862 Copper-Nickle Oak Wreath with shield is in really poor shape and wont photograph well. I spent a couple hours cleaning the cannon ball hence the after photo. Really a cool piece of history to find. Thanks for looking.

Looks like the cannon ball is going to clean up pretty good. Neat finds congrats.

Congrat's on the 12 pounder Ronin....Is she still packed or what? That's an awesome dig for sure.....the bit's and piece's might add up to it but there's nothing like the real McCoy.....I have one and probably my only and I still smile every time I look at it!!....Big Congrat's to you....
