Relics, couple Injuns and a small gold box.

1883 and 1890 Ih, fancy cuff link, and some kind of hat pin? First gold of the year! It has no hall marks or K stamp from what I can tell but this thing is way to heavy to be modern junk. My eyes are not so good but tomorrow I will go and get tested. It registered in the "gold zone" on my detector and was about 4" down and came out clean like gold should. I will soak in lemon juice tonight and see what happens, nothing I hope. It just screams "real deal" if you were holding it.

Cool! I see it reads "FAITH" on lid. They main purpose of it has me curious. Too heavy and awkward to be a charm. Maybe a pill box? I hope it's gold....it should get you that first BANNER! If you find it to be gold, just add your results to this posts so we all know. By the way, soak those coppers in some olive oil. It will bring them back to life.

Yes it says Faith, Hope, Love on three of the sides also has eight small diamond looking stones, eight in total. I read about something similar called a prayer box?

Very cool find!!! I have something similar that was identified here as a prayer box. Mine is silver and is smaller. Nice find!!

I've had things stamped in the loop in teeny numbers.

I don't see anything? Don't know if this tells any of the story but the loop looks cut. Just figured I would point that out, prob how it was made.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! Hope to get out this afternoon again. On a side not I took box to a local resale shop and fellow said its not gold. Very strange, he didn't test it in front of me. I have sold gold in past at other shops and every time the buyer tested it so seller could see results not walk in back and come out, " nope not gold". Anyway I don't trust not being able to see results I will go else were.
