A friend clued me in on a few cellar holes dating back to about 1790, so I decided to take a drive and check em out. A half mile trail to an intersection where 4 old homes once stood. I really wasnt expecting much since he said he was all over this place 10yrs ago, but i guess he left just enough behind for me to have a great day out. I am kind a curious on the button with the log cabin on it, im guessing decorative civilian tho. Also found a 1848 LC, and a Rev. War Coat button.

Nice finds

I would guess the log cabin may be a political button for William Henry Harrison.

In fact, your button can be seen as part of a Harrison collection HERE

Super nice finds. Those buttons are wonderful!

With finds like these, it's probably worth paying this site another visit.

Nice finds, congrats!!

Pro that's a super cool button! Looks like you've got a very nice site there. Hit that baby hard

Nice stash of relics!!

Great hunt!

Beautiful finds seems like an a neat site.

Thanks Everyone, ..And yes, ill be heading out there again soon, The whole ride home had me stumped on that button, :tongue3: I guess the white JEWETT tag i found is a early 1920s car emblem, I can put it with my Graham Paige one
now.:icon_thumright:

Very nice finds ! That site has more to give up for sure. That New York button is awesome. The political log cabin button is superb as well. The LC didn't come out too bad either. Gotta love the large coppers. Keep us informed on the new finds. Those are the type of finds I set out to dig these days. GK&HH

I should mention the style of eagle button i found was mass produced in the 1830s, so its not rev war era.

Sweet Harrison Campaign Button!! I dug one of those brass pieces with the portrait on it. Identical to the one you posted. Mine was originally silver gilded and dug in a cow pasture in Indiana.

What a great looking place to dig, and enjoy.

Nice button finds.

Excellent day of digging. Nice campaign button
