Religious medal and old Wheaties

I got a three hour hunt in today and found these.
I need to get a jewelers loop to read the medal--It might have a date at the bottom.

My wife bought me a loop for a stocking stuffer a couple years ago christmas. Best fireplace gift I've ever recieved.

Nice finds. The medal is called a "Miraculous Medal" and the date on the bottom is the date they were first commissioned, many years ago. Can you read the words?

Nice finds!

Instead of using a loupe you can zoom in on your original photo. It usually works-thats how I look at some marks on rings when I'm traveling and don';t have a loupe with me.

From here it looks like it says 1850, maybe 1830. Really cool either way. I got a really nice loupe at a coin shop for $10. They usually aren't that pricey, it's just a matter of findin' one.

Great looking pendant Merf. Is that a 1914 Wheat I see? That's an old sucker. My oldest wheat so far is 1917.
