Religious Thing

[WawaDuane]

My buddy found this the other day at an old site (early 1800's). No idea what it is or what it did, seems to be some kind of bronze or similar metal. It's roughly 1.5" long. Any ideas?

I dont understand the holes on the bottom but could it be an antique pipe tamper?

My buddy is thinking it's from a bell and the clapper thing attached to the hole? I have no idea.

That would be a small bell but I like it yes.

Agreed... from bell.

This looks very old.
Might really have something there.

looks like a bell handle, the hole would be for the clanger to swing from
