I found the items on a ploughed field no more than 4 inches deep. The soil is coral rag which is many milloins of years since it formed.The soil is good for bronze alloys but no good for pure copper.A George 3rd 1/2d was found on the field and its terrible.

I see you are a new member here. So I wanted to give you a few pointers to help you along. Try and post pictures whenever you dig something. Pictures of the finds helps a great deal.

There are some people on here that can get downright nasty when people post without pictures which I just cannot understand.
