The first one. Don't know the size, but I have something like that that is a cable puller. It's for such things as pulling a guy wire tight and similar work. It just gives you a handle to pull on. I don't know if you can even buy one anymore. Too simple and thus cheap.

I think the 1st pic is a pipe tamper The hole is to attach an emergency pipe cleaner.

Would it be string or metal chain attached to the hole in the object?

2nd pic looks like a door knocker to me and the 3rd pic looks like a steel or iron base of an old wooden handle hammer I dunno just my opinion

Basically it had an iron chain attached to it & hooked up to whatever it was pulling.
