This badge (pendant? Medallion?) has LOVE stamped on one side. Looks like it was crudely done by hand. The other side looks to be the original "outside". It has what I would call the head of Mercury in the center with a crown above the head. Kind of a leaf or palm frond motif completes the look on that side. It also looks like it had a loop (now broken) up top, so, was it originally a pendant? key fob? The remnants of what was probably a pin or clip was soldered to the head side. It's about 2" wide, 2 1/2" tall, and 1/8" thick and made of a plated pot metal I believe. Was this something related to the Mercury car? I don't see any logo or numbers on it anywhere.

Mercury had the Monarch, which would explain the crown but I couldn't find it maybe someone else can.

Yeah, my parents used to own one about 40 years ago. I don't remember any emblems or badges like that on their car.

Swank, jeeze I only vaguely remember that but it was a faux cool thing for folks that couldn't afford or find gold. Aaargh! Kind of the processor of the zodiac fascination.
