I was commenting on my first post, the onza main book. The grand library of the onza. Open the pics in my first post and you can see some details better. Basically it's a reference book of all the gold doubloons ever produced. It even has coinage that there are no known examples of yet. You guys on the 1715 fleet could use this book much more than I can. If your interested PM me and I'll mail it to you. If I ever find gold coins I need to identify I'll no who to call. Lots of new world gold coins from all the mints. Only covers the gold ones though.

In the Onza book what does it show for the earliest struck gold coins in any mints along the west coast of South America south of Panama? Ignore Mexico or Columbia.
1609? 1622?

Ernie Richards just published a five book set on shipwreck artifacts. I am reading it now - it is excellent.

I loaned it.
Haven't seen it in a couple of years.
I believe my wife wanted to buy me a new one for my birthday...which was 25 days ago...I'll do it for her.

I've loaned out a few books not really expecting them back. I simply ask whomever I loan them to, that when they are done with it, to please pass it on to the next guy that would like to get it and ask the same of them. A few were worth $100 or more. A few weren't worth the paper they were printed on...Ropesfish, if you list some you may want, I might have it.
