Went out for about an hour Saturday to the usual place and found a few items. Nothing spectacular ,but manged to save some lead at the bottom of the pic,not sure if it is civil war or not doesn't have that whiteish brown patina to it. I would like to get some comments on it. I have found a enfield that was gray on the same property like that, so maybe it could be period. The rest includes a buck shot ball,Flat piece of lead, and a rivet. Thanks for looking.

not sure on the lead, but if you found other cw items it may well be. That rivet and ball looks period.

Yeah I am very sure that the rivet and buck and the flatened piece are period,it's the other I am not sure about. We have found a lot of bullets and a couple of buttons where this stuff came from.

johnreb1980 , I seen some of the larger pieces like that before that have a different color. It may be due to the spot it was buried in.

Hey JohnnyReb, the large lead has probably been melted in a campfire and will have a dull gray color compared to the normal patina. Enfields have a different lead content than US bullets and don't always have a light cream colored patina. Continued luck to you from Tennessee.
