Rescued Dogs are Best!

Here are our dogs, Taddy, the Shetland Sheepdog, and Maggie, a Beagle Spaniel mix. Taddy was considered too tall to show by his "show dog" breeders and would have lived his life in a kennel, and Maggie was found abandoned as a puppy by a member of the local PAWS group...Best friends ever! Also shot the sunset last night, it only looked like that for about 90 seconds!

stole a Navajo's sheep herd one day. kept them till he remembered how to ask politely for them back...

That sheep story is hilarious, my wife loved it, the oddest thing my sheltie does is he will howl his head off when I play a Scottish tune on the fiddle, if I play an American tune or something generic he will bark and bark until I play another Scot tune then start howling again! He loves it. Same with youtubes and dvds of professional fiddlers from Scotland or America, With shelties being from the Shetland Islands of Scotland makes me believe in heredity!

Your pups are beautiful !! and you can definitly tell they are happy !!!!!! Good job on giving them a home. Thought I'd share a picture of Beau,our rescue. He is 1 of 64 dogs rescued from a puppy mill,he was shy ,unsociallized,beaten,and malnourished. I had to carry him out when we got him,,,,,,, Now, he is the most wonderful,social,loving dog,and my constant companion !!

I couldnt agree more, and since we're sharing I hope no one minds. Meet Gunther, a beautiful black lab we rescued from a shelter in Rhode Island, he has become more then a pet but such a loving companion for the entire family. He now lives with my daughter and my ex and he never forgets who I am when I walk in that door.
