Did a little reading and research today and read about a colonial site in some woods, so I mapped it out, packed up my machine and headed out. Not far into the woods right off the path looked to be an old colonial foundation. No stones, but a square hollow indentation in the ground. I began searching and found a dandy type button about an inch down. Musket balls, drawer pull and a couple of dew dads that I have to post under "what is it". Found a Vanilla chocolate container made by Walter Baker & CO from Dorchester MA. There has to be some colonial coins somewhere there. Tons of large trashy metal objects.
