Fantastic piece of History, The Mans Name, The Regiment he served with and a ball park time frame.
What do you think the chances are of finding his Descendents would be.

Wow. Yes, I hope you are able to preserve these items (I'm thinking about the wood ones, especially). The J was often written as an I back then.

Hello, the buttons of the 57th during the rev war show their 5 had a ball like shape at the bottom of the 5 it just looks like a . Thanks,J
 
That 18 pounder is nice, but that plate is exceptional! You are amassing quite a collection of amazing relics.

I notice a Tudor Rose with a crown above it on that plate. How cool is that!!
