Technically found yesterday while I was awaiting approval. Though i am a new member officially, I had a profile on here several years ago but do not remember any of my information to log on...fell out of the hobby for a bit ...but im back ....anyways...

I found this button far away from its origin on a 30 min hunt in Shaftsbury Vermont. A site told to me by the homeowner to be a tavern from the revolutionary war time period. Oddly enough I found a GW button there about 10 yrs ago approximately 50' away from this button.

Welcome back to the forum and for picking up the detector again.

What a sweet welcome back recovery.
Congratulations on the great looking button.

I think the moderator can look up your old account through a email that was registered yrs ago. @Treasure_Hunter

You need fall right back into this hobby and stay there! Not many of us make such unique finds. Think of the other G.W. button that's still waiting to see daylight. It needs a good home. Be a hero and go and SAVE it!

Thanks for the excellent pictures, writeup and supporting information. I have found many British regimental buttons from the Revolutionary War time, but never one like yours. Now I have a new type to keep my eyes (and detector) open for!
