Well the new permission is still giving. Really happy with this one. My best preserved pewter Revolutionary War button found in a field and not just of any regiment but the 29th. Found it less than 100 feet from my previous Rev War find, the 67th regiment of foot button from the same period.

Close to Montreal and Burgoyne's route, I think it confirms the fact that some of the 67th regiment soldiers were marching with Burgoyne's troops.

Also found a few pieces of musket (a part of a ramrod and of a buttstock) and a few dropped musketballs.

Laying in the ground for over 200 years and still in great shape. Congratulations

It absolutely amazes me sometimes how some of them survive so well being pewter. Most are of course are pretty beat, even from later periods I have found.

Thank you. An awesome feeling to see it coming out of the ground. Especially the large coat sized ones. And seing the 29 on it is just a cherry on the cake.
