Found at a location Ethan and Ira Allen and the green mountain boys used to assemble in southern Vermont!.... My uncle and I always get spoiled by this place and it keeps giving.... He got a large cent and a 1798 draped bust....

Now that is an awesome find :occasion14:

Gotta be close to getting a banner

Umm. Wow! Typically those are hard to authenticate as rev war from what I understand since they were made for so long, but given the provenance, that's an incredible find! WTG!!

That's pretty funny! :laughing7:

Yeah you gotta do better than potentially Rev War... heck you gotta do better than actual Rev War. :happysmiley:

#King'sAmerican ;)

Jokes aside, I've always loved those things.

This would be the 2nd Rev war find on this farmhouse property.... The 1st was the mass 6th regiment button my uncle found that made the banner

I said close to banner lol.... It's bound to happen sometime.

Thing is property like that covers a lot of years, and so do those buckles. You can personally think of it any way you want but it won't get much traction as being a Rev War buckle. Sort of the same as if you found a solid silver shoe buckle.

Very nice buckle and one that I am not going to find down this far South. One word of advise - never speak of a find of your own making banner. The banner gods do not like it. :laughing7:

Worst way to try and get a find posted to the Banner is to say your find is a Banner find!

Is this a today's find? Your post made it sound like it was a find you pulled out of your archive to make the banner with (second worst way to get a find posted to the Banner :laughing7:)

What I meant by close to banner was that I'm getting closer relic wise.... Yes today's find... No disrespect toward the banner god's... This property keeps producing... So I feel there is at least one more banner worthy relic just waiting for me in the dirt

WOW! Great!, enjoy HH

VEC . AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE FFFFFFFFFFIIIIINNNDDDDD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANG WHAT A BUCKLE I WILL HAVE TO LOOK IN MY REV BOOK TO SEE WHAT WE GOT HERE...............

That is way cool. Something else well add to our wish list.....

Most of that type if not all are 19th C.

Very significant find, so fascinating!
