Here is the ring pic I promised you,sorry it took so long. This is a civilian conservation corp ring I found a few months ago. It was about 10'' down.

That is soooo cool HistoryHunter! Now I know what it originally looked like. That means alot to me, my grandfather worked in the CCC in Colorado.

Hello, ccc is a nice organization back in the day, jobs for people , i worked for the wcc fighting fires, we also worked up in the mountains alot, was this found somewhere up in the hills? or where, just curios if someone lost it on the job etc. great find wtg

Nice to see some history unfold here...Now I just wish someone could find an exact match for THIS ONE....I have seen close ones but nothing exactly like it as of yet. Someone siad their cousin found one at the Battle of Nashville front lines but I have yet to get a return email from them.

I found it next to an old 1906 college grounds,on the schools side street boulevard.

TreasureGuy, I found mine in rural (I mean very rural ) Blount Co., AL at an old home site where, at one time, there was a small community .
Does this bring back memories?
