Since it is silver jewelry, I would bet the "NF" stands for Nickel Free. Some people are allergic to the nickel in metal. They look for rings, earrings, bracelets, etc. that don't contain nickel. Marking it as such makes sense.

If it's not that, it is a maker's mark for the company that produced the item.

its actually three linked together,just cleaned it up and found the 925 stamp on one of'em
