Rings 2 & 3
I had about half an hour during lunch when it was barely raining to get out. I went to a spot nearby that has all to the trees marked for removal. This place will soon have all of the topsoil removed and some huge building built.
Yay for progress
Anyway, I went and within 5 minutes I hit a nice high tone. It sounded good and I dug. When I saw the gold edge peeking through the black dirt, I got excited. I took a couple pictures and picked it up. It was a very hard and very yellow aluminum ring. It was cut like a wedding band as you see. I stuck it in my pocket and kept swinging. I dug several old building parts, light bulbs etc. Then another high tone. I keep hoping to hit silver coins here because of the age, but no coins. instead, I see what I think is a pull tab. Then I saw the stone. I snapped a couple more pics and dug it out. It was about 6 inches down. I had to go, so I stuck it in my pocket. I got home after work and cleaned it up and there it was..the Sterling stamp in the side. Turned out to be a Sterling ring with a nice tigerseye. It just happens to fit my wife perfectly.
Keep Swinging...
