River Finds: Civil War Relics!

I had another great day on the river. Tried out a new spot I had researched last year. I wish I had gone there then! Here is a picture of all of my keeper finds for the day. Notice the cool sinkers that were made from bullets.



Next up is a Civil War Hotchkiss artillery shell just as I pulled it off of the bottom.



Here's what it looked like underwater before i picked it up. Notice it's covered with moss.



I also found this epaulet. It's the best one in my collection thus far.



I'll try to work up a video of the hunt later. I didn't record much as I was busy digging. I don't know if I'll have enough to make it interesting.

Awww... don't be jealous. Let it remind everyone that there is still stuff out there and not to give up. It wasn't ALL dug "twenty years ago".

Here's a bonehead question for you guys... How do you get the title of the post to be on bold print? Looks like I'm the only one that hasn't figured that out

Guys, the title of a thread will be BOLD if it has posts in it that you have not read... it signifies threads with new content. If it's not in bold, there is nothing new in the thread that you haven't seen. Hope this helps.

Great finds. The river and streams around my area are still flooded pretty good. Feels like we are getting the rain now that we should have gotten in February and March.
