Went to the dried up river bed this evening and found a Merc.
The bed was really rocky and sandy so I suppose when this was under water it really ground down this Merc.
Really worn but it is SILVER.

Sweet. Thinking outside of the box payed off.

Silver is silver. Most mercs that are in pristine shape are still only worth melt value so who cares if it is ground down or ground up! Still a silvery kind of find. Nice

Most mercs especially those minted prior to WW2 in near pristine shape should be worth at least 2 or 3 times melt. I hope
