I live near Azusa ca. I’ve gone a few times to the north fork to pan or bring home dirt to run in my slice box. There has been heavy rains, as you all know. Is it a good time to go panning again? How much does the gold travel down river after heavy rains? Thanks.

suberdave,
now could possibly be good or bad, the water in the river
is running very fast. One girl got caught in the river and died last
week. I ran my sluice box up there today. I found a place where the water was a little slower on the edge of the river. The water away from the edge looked like rapids. If you go up there be very careful.
