Yeah I need to look into that cooker you got. I saw it in another post. Chicken looks good. Mother's Day was Sunday for half the family, then today for the other half, so I get hit twice every year now.

It's a great cooker rg....it's made by Charbroil and called the Big Easy. They have them here at Home Depot for $99 but they have a newer, bigger model called the RSG (Roasts, Smokes and Grilles). They cost about twice as much but I'm already thinking about getting one of those also.

Re: Roasted a Mother's Day chicken

No, really easy to clean. Only thing that gets real "greasy" is the very bottom and that wipes right off. The racks etc. fit in the dishwasher. No costly oil to deal with and it uses less propane than the deep fryer. A 20 lb tank (what we call a 5 gallon) is said to last about 22 hours. There is a drip pan underneath that they supply one disposable, aluminum tray for but I got a food grade stainless tray that I just use for catching drippings for gravy etc. and then that cleans up for reuse. Don't have to keep buying the disposables. Here's a pic of the pan inside the tray.
