Rock slide

I went to look in the hills for a site that was described by someone in the 1800's. The side hill looked as if it had crumbled and slide in chutes to the bottom of the hill. It is steep and rocky. How deep will a typical MD shoot with a rock slide like this?

Not boulders it is much smaller 4 - 8 inch pieces
