Out detecting an old trail here in central Massachusetts, this came out of hole as I was trying to find metal object.Appears to have 2 small areas of something very hard sticking to it,thought cement but find it highly unlikely any foreign debris brought into area we were, possible but old trail didnt appear to have any gravel added to it.Forgot to add something for size reference but its sitting on my 6 inch deck railing.Whats your thought?

Looks like a piece of quartz. With some type of natural concrete mixture stuck to it.

You'd be surprised what trash man has left behind in the middle of nowhere. You think, wtf were people doing out here 100 years ago and they left this $&*^ behind. Probably took anything worth a $(*)^# too, so you're pissed at them twice.
