Don't know what I'll do with this, but I was drawn to it at an estate sale this weekend. It's a steel container for 1945 naval aircraft 2.25 inch rockets. Probably not a steal at $15, but I couldn't walk away from it. I though it would be a neat thing to repurpose as something to put ice and drinks in at a barbeque or other outside party, but I don't want it to rust any more (I've seen some really rusty ones on the web).

Rust remover, sand, prime and epoxy coat the inside. I do not think that it would insulate that well.

Not a steal at $15?

I'd give you $30, and wouldn't hesitate asking $60 or more at an antique mall we sell at. To me, the 1945 date on the bottom is its value. Laugh if you want, but I'd probably ask $95 to start off, and maybe mark it down to $75.

Heck, a few months ago, I sold a WWII .50 cal ammo can that was so rusty that the hinged top wouldn't hardly budge, and I got $35 for that one.

I'd think that a gun guy would snatch this up in a heartbeat for ammo storage.

I completely agree with Clovis. I immediately thought that that is hundred dollar bill all day in my area. I bought a small, common army green ammo box this weekend for 4 bucks and could have skipped back to my truck with it. LOL
