Long story short, my father in law passed away and had this in his collection. I've done a bit of digging but havent come up with much and I cant even seem to find one that looks remotely similar...anyone seen one before?/know anything about them?
Thank you IMG-20200515-WA0003.jpg

A wise guy I see. If I'd have known you had such wisdom I'd have come here sooner....:icon_thumleft:

Fake I'm afraid. Rolex doesnt produce skeleton dials.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!! Welcome!!

Thank you! I don't care if its a real one or a fake one...it could be sausage for all I care...was just interested to see if anyone had any info on it

Real Rolex the second hand will sweep not tic do you have a pic of the back

I gave you the info. Its not genuine.

You wont find any history on imitation watches because they arent authentic.

Theres a photo of a similar one. All discussions lead the same conclusion. Country of origin? China most likely. Asking family members about your father in laws watch may give you more answers than what we can provide to you. If he enjoyed the watch and wore it often, then thats its story.

I found a Submariner with a glass back Im sure its fake and another one thats the same and damaged both fake They did make alot of fakes though the fakes can go for 4 to 5 hundred. from what Ive seen.

I believe its a fake, probably China. I know, I bought a beautiful "Rolex" Submariner for $30 dollars in NY around 42 street. It looked cool and gave me many years of service. LOL. :dontknow:

It's about as Rolex as Sweet and Sour Pork with rice.

I wouldnt wear a sausage to tell the time:laughing7: If it has a distinct ticking then it isnt a Rolex. Rolex have a 'sweeping' seconds hand.

Welcome aboard, Anything else interesting in his collection?

It:s about as Rolex as Sweet and Sour Pork with rice.

Does the pork have a serial number? Is the rice sweeping or ticking? More awesomness from China
