I'm late posting these finds, they are from Sunday and I couldn't post them as my battery on the Camera went flat, I managed one in the field before it depleted :BangHead: Anyway there is not a lot to show as the field had been well hunted for the last 10 years and I never expected a great deal of finds to show.

We started the day on a club dig but soon give up as the fields they put us on had been green waisted :angry4: so we ended up on this hunted out field as it was close by.

My third 1st century Dragonesque Brooch and my third one incomplete..perhaps I will get a full one... one day, and a very nice 1st-4th century Roman hair pin, with bun shaped head and radial ribbing.

Hope you enjoy my few finds from Sunday. :icon_thumleft:

The hairpin is very nice! Finding one complete is a good day!

Goes to show my ignorance. I would not have noticed that as a hair pin! (blush)

That is interesting!

Cheers,

Buck

Yes Hutch I have already signed that, I hope it gets banned, not just for detecting purposes..but for the countryside in general.:icon_thumleft:

The Dragonesque Brooch would be my find of the day, as I've still not got one, congrats on the 3rd.

I signed the e-petition, but we are beneficiaries of exactly these types of activities going back 2000 years or more. Half of the stuff I find was dumped there, at some point. Funny, if you think about us wanting to deny future detectorists the joy of digging those rare MFI locking grommets & burnt pennies:laughing7:

Great post ... and nice Roman pin ! .... Sorry to lose this post too.:notworthy:
