Returned to the ankle breaker. The weather was a little less harsh with only a little light rain. (no thunder/lightning)
I gridded the better area for nearly 3 hours, Cru'dad tried the field next door for about 2 hours without success. He tried my field for 4 runs but gave up before he got any injury. Wise move.
All of the following fell to the XP;

17 Bronze Roman Coins
Roman Chicken Brooch (Broken) - First of its type for the collection.
Roman Snake Bracelet piece - by far the best example I have had of this popular British Roman Jewelry. (Loads of details I've not seen before)
Roman Silver Denarius of Caracalla, AD 196. Issue for Caracalla as Caesar under Sept. Severus Priestly emblems of Lituus, knife, jug, simpulum & sprinkler.
This is what I was hoping for off this site.

Nice find...do you still get excited when you see silver in the dirt?

Yes of course, or we should all go home.

However, I get more excited when I can't ID it in the field.
