Heh, i didnt find this with a detector...but found it on trade me....only posting as i want...or would like the roman coin gurus to give me a brief on it so as I can type out the proper description of it and stick it in a small frame....thanks cru.... the instigater and shaun and const....etc etc....a silver ...1327...till 1350 ? edward the third durham...yikes this was before they drew and quartered poor OLE MELL GIBSON........thanks in antisapation ..ps this is the oldest thing i have ever touched made by man...

Hi! I'm no expert in hammered, but I'll throw ....help for correct British boys ;D

Durham Mint Edward III 'Long Cross Penny
Silver, 1.04 grams, 18.04 mm
Pre Treaty Series F, 1351-1377 AD.
Obverse: facing bust with the inscription REX EDWARDVS + angl.
Reverse: Cross with the limb long before CIVI as "crook and three pellets in each quarter CIVI TAS division of EME DVR legend Mint Durhan.

The ID is correct, just need to change 'Romans' for Medieval hammered.

it was on trade me over here which is a auction or buy now site...starting off at 7 bucks ..I bought it for $16 00 n/z ...checked it with me ole mate cru first...great site this huh...
