Hello went to a local school lastnight and found two buttons and a round thing. One button is acutally a button cover I think. It appears to be made out of copper and has a flower on it, it is hollow on the back. The other button has a globe on it with a C (?) and the only mark on the back is an M. I don't even know how to begin researching buttons. Any help would be great, even if no help available hope you like looking at buttons. The coin in the picture is a dime, sorry about the glare on it.

Thanks

Hi mastereagle, the round object is from an umbrella/parasol. I don't have info on the buttons - yet
Cheers, Mike

no and it is more like a cone than flat. The button is about 1/4inch thick and the back is hollow. That is why i thought maybe it was a button cover. Here are a few more pics.

Both of them look like old 2 piece civilian buttons to me, one with the back rusted out. Probably brass, not copper.
