Round Stone with Carvings

[I have a yard full]

Nice find today.

2 feet deep,under ground along old farm road.
First farmhouse built 250 years ago.
2 miles from River.

Perfectly round granite? ball, very heavy with what looks like a cross or X with 4 small dots around it.

any ideas?
