PLEASE don't delete your posts. I had nominated that Brown Bess for the Banner--and was looking forward to it appearing up top! (I'd love to see your photos one more time...perhaps I could convince you to PM me some pics.)
If folks want to tell you that wood won't hold up on the bottom of a lake for 200 years, then they are a bunch of stupid Jerks. They can ask Woody whether his 1600's ruler, and other wooden items survived in an anaerobic environment. Or they can ask the guy that intact recovered the 2,000 year-old Native American Canoe on the bottom of a lake about how long wood will survive.
When folks do this crap, we ALL lose here. Because the REAL treasure finders will grow tired and stop posting.
