Fantastic day up at a ski resort here today, about fourteen dollars in clad and one small silver ring.Everything was going alright until we heard this weird sound. My cousin was fifty yards from me and a marmot was challenging him to a face off.Well you know i had to laugh because 50 yards is a safe distance right.Wrong other marmots started coming out of the resort from underneath.Believe it or not two old farts can do the 200yard dash in about 30 seconds to the car. :D AA the chicken

Charlie you hurt my feelings :D

Oh yeah? So what. I got squirrels and chipmunks all over my yard and I know how to use them. I'll throw peanuts and sunflower seeds on you and they'll tear you to the bones in seconds. :D

But I forgive you. Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. I'm sure the marmot with dark glasses cleaning his nails with a switchblade and the two others behind him with a chain and a pipe section would have worried any of us.

Girl that lived across the street was bit by a beaver. Since then I've got real respect for those teeth . . . she about lost the index finger on her right hand. Not to mention ths was long enough ago that she had to go through the nasty "gut shots" rabies treatment..

PS - never try to feed a marshmallow to a beaver. ;)

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood......"Wood" loved to have seen that..lol

He could chuck a cord of conifer if you gave him a quater for every quarter cord he chucked!

Killing woodchucks is my other hobby :) I have over 5 times as much invested in a customized Remington 700BDL/V 22-250 than I do my MD...Try justifying that to your wife ;)

aa, You must be a city boy ;)..........I have a very sweet family of them living in the back yard, they usually walk within 6 feet of the deck when we're sitting on it. I've walked within a foot of one, and yes we both jumped and went our seperate ways. I have to admit if it was showing teeth and running at me I'd have run too. I think we should keep an eye on Ebaums for the video. ;D

Nice finds by the way!

Marmots are cute, and they communicate by whistling. Nothing scary about them at all. They are probably accustomed to being fed by the skiers, hence they "charged" you when you showed up in their territory. Next time, take a few peanuts or sunflower seeds and sprinkle them around - they'll leave you alone. Or better yet, take a woman with you when you go metal detecting - for "protection." ROFL ;D

Treasure Tales today was blue jays protecting their baby i think i have Get um on my forehead.Ill take your advice and next time a woman will be with me. :D No iam not a city boy. Country Girl iam a flat lander ::)

Run she has a ruler!!! DD you that nuns are my biggest fear :'(

LOL I expected someone to post about the fearsome Beast.

TIM: Follow! But! follow only if ye be men of valor, for the entrance
to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man
yet has fought with it and lived! Bones of four fifty men lie strewn
about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or
your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty
big pointy teeth.
ARTHUR: What an eccentric performance.

;D
