S. Florida - Davie / Ft. Lauderdale - New - need help - Garrett GMH Cx III

[SMDFLA]

Bought a used Garrett GMH CX III
Read the manual 3x
Still not sure what I am doing

Reset factory defaults
Setting - Non movement - All metal - finds coins (under carpet in family room)
Setting - Movement - Coin - Does not find anything (under carpet)

Any Help ?

Update - Spoke w/ Tech Support
Needs repair
Will update after repair

Yes, this unit was Top Notch in its day
I appreciate the tip,
Unfortunately, the unit does the same outside.
Also changed from 8" to 12" coil and have the same results.

Debating whether to send to Garrett for repair or Post on Ebay
Thinking...
Sell 2 Crossfire coils separately
Sell unit As Is with malfunction disclosure
And
Replace with a newer unit

Maybe I'll open the control box and have a look at the components.

Still debating on

Hey SMDFLA,

Go outside. Most Florida houses all have steel reinforcements in the floor. Also the electrical could be interfering. I don't have that particular machine, but I know it is a darn good one.
