S.W. MI Gold Found

Hey everyone, just wanting to show some flakes that I found the other day. There is quite a few colors in there, but there is gold though! Found this in Montcalm County, MI. This is actually my 2nd clean up after hitting some spots in a stream that ran into a river. All pan here! Haven't actually started Sluicing yet, but going to this summer. Guess I should continue in this area!

Looks nice to me since i am not in gold country like you..... Gold is scarce here in Ohio.....So i would be happy to see that color in my pan....

Yes, I myself am very amazed with what I had found. Still have another bucket that I need to actually go through, but this was only the 2nd spot that I've ever actually prospected. Hopefully I am able to find more!

Awesome find! According to this website http://www.midwestprospector.com/michigan.html gold was reported being found in the early 1900's in Montcalm. You might find some other areas near you based on this info.
