Sabine River

I went out exploring the sabine river yesterday. It was a nice day to be out, I found a few nice rocks and petrified wood.
I also found a quarter dime and penny oldest 2007 someone must have just lost them they where laying on top of the ground.

I seen several big fish turn over out there but I have never fished there.
That is below the dam of Toledo Bend and there are plenty of big fish in
the lake. I also seen a couple perch fishing and they said that they usually have
real good luck .

You have a beautiful place to explore. Is there any historical things that went down there, like treasure etc..

The Sabine River was the border to no mans land and There are several stories
of treasure hidden around the area and also stories of treasure being found on
the banks. I would like to take a boat down the river and do some more exploring.
